General Principle of Retrograde Planets

Studies have proved that retrograde planets are not giving good results to the person concerned. Vedic astrology considers a retrograde planet as strong, but according to western astrologers, retrosession is malefic and the planet is weak. A planet in retrosession will give adverse results if it is placed in Malefic House or with Malefic Planet or In Combustion or Debilitation. It is observed that natural Malefics in retrosession gives more good results when compared to the benefics.

  • Saturn retrograde in Aquarius is benefic if the lagna is also benefic.
  • Jupiter retrograde in Cancer is benefic if the lagna is also benefic.

We will discuss more details later on another article of retrograde planets. Generally, if a retrograde planet is malefic in nature, then there will be more adverse effects when compared to the direct moving planet. Retrosession in a favorable sign in a favorable house with a favorable ascendant and with an Active degree* will give very favorable results.
